Human Services: Community Services
Provides child protection services, parenting support and early intervention, foster care, adoption services and help for communities affected by disaster.

Better Hearing Australia
Provides audiology tests and information, and supports people with hearing aids.

 

Australian Hearing
Federal audiological service provider, hearing tests for eligible clients.

NABS (National Auslan Interpreter Booking & Payment Service)
Provides interpreters for Deaf and hard of hearing people who use sign language when attending private medical appointments.

Health Care Interpreter Service (HCIS)
Provides Auslan interpreting for public hospital appointments.

 

SLC NSW
Provides Auslan interpreters for a wide range of situations and requirements. SLC NSW is the Deaf Society's interpreting service and is the longest running Auslan interpreting service in NSW.

National Relay Service (NRS)
A telephone relay service that allows people who are deaf or have a hearing, speech or other communication impairment to make phone calls.

Australian Communication Exchange (ACE)
Provides relay service for older people to access external service providers through phone/TTY.

Media Access Australia
A non-profit organisation that works in collaboration with consumer organisations, Government and industry across the country to provide information to the public on captioning across all mediums and bring access to media to disadvantaged people across Australia.

Telstra Disability Services
Telstra is committed to making communication accessible and affordable for all our customers with communication challenges, including older customers and customers with a disability.

Optus Disability Equipment Programme
Optus is committed to providing equitable products and services to all its customers. Under its Disability Action Plan, Optus aims to remove barriers to access for customers, potential customers and staff.

TAFE NSW
Each TAFE NSW Institute has a Teacher/Consultant for students who are Deaf.  They can help with a range of specialised services including Auslan interpreters, notetakers, tutorial support and assessment modifications.
