Regional Services

The Deaf Society is committed to providing support and services to the Deaf community in rural and regional areas.

The Deaf Society is aware of the limited resources often available for rural and regional Deaf communities and we provide a range of support and advocacy, from direct visits to linking the communities with local service providers. We keep in contact with local Deaf communities via newsletters and websites.

Regional Outreach
The Deaf Society also runs an Outreach program for rural and regional Deaf communities. More information is on the webpage for each region.

If services are not readily available in your region, you are also able to contact our Head Office for immediate support and advocacy during normal business hours. To see the Deaf Society’s Freecall contact details, click here.

Information Day
The Deaf Society is committed to consulting with the Deaf community of NSW – at a state level and within local communities.

Deaf community consultations in regional areas happen with local social or BBQ events held every year. Times and places for the next consultation BBQs will be posted on the Deaf Society website’s Events page.
