This office was established in 2008 to support Deaf people in the New England region, covering the area around Tamworth and Armidale.
Services include community development, support and information, advocacy, and referrals to other organisations. The Deaf Society enjoys good access to TAFE in this region.
A Drop In service is available Tamworth every Monday from 9am to 4pm and Tuesdays by appointment.

The Deaf Society also provides services to this region via DeafNet video-links in Tamworth for services to the New England region. DeafNet uses a laptop with webcam and dedicated broadband internet connection for local Deaf people to access specialist support from staff in our Sydney office.
