This office was established in 2005 to provide services for the growing Deaf community in this region. The initial idea and support for this service was provided by the Coffs Harbour Deaf Community Working Group.

The Coffs Coast Community Worker provides direct support to the Deaf clients in this region, and links local service providers to support the Deaf community according to need. Services include community support, information and referrals to other organisations.

A Drop In service is available at:

  • the Coffs Harbour Community Centre's Chill Out Cafe, (Earl St, Coffs Harbour) on Wednesdays between 10am and 2pm
  • the Port City Bowling Club, Owen St, Port Macquarie on the first Tuesday in February, May, August and November between 11am and 2pm

Interpreting services for the Coffs Coast region are available through the Deaf Society's Interpreting Service. To find out more, click here.
