This office was established in 2005 to provide services for the growing Deaf community in this region. The initial idea and support for this service was provided by the Coffs Harbour Deaf Community Working Group.
The Coffs Coast Community Worker provides direct support to the Deaf clients in this region, and links local service providers to support the Deaf community according to need. Services include community support, information and referrals to other organisations.

DeafNet video-link
The Deaf Society also provides services to this region via DeafNet video-links in Coffs Harbour for services to the Coffs Coast. DeafNet uses a laptop with webcam and dedicated broadband internet connection for local Deaf people to access specialist support from staff in our Sydney office.
