Mr Kenneth W Tribe passed away yesterday at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, aged 96 years.
Mr Tribe was on the Deaf Society Board from 1942-1982, President Australian Deaf Societies 1975-1977, Australian Deafness Council from 1975-1982, and Deputy Chair Australian Caption Centre from 1982-1994.
Mr Tribe was appointed Vice Patron of the Deaf Society of NSW following his retirement from the Board. The Kenneth W Tribe Fellowship Fund (which provides financial assistance to Deaf and hard of hearing people wishing to study) was established in his honour.
