		Definition: Civil Case Civil Case This is a case that is not a criminal or a family law case. It is where a wrong is believed to have been done to a person or organisation, and they are seeking compensation, usually money. Civil cases do not involve punishment but repayment for the wrong done.   This publication has been produced with the financial assistance of the Law and Justice Foundation of NSW.
