The Deaf Society:

  • aims to ensure Deaf people receive the same opportunities as other members of the community and have equal access to services and activities
  • provides extensive casework support to members of the Deaf Community on an individual or family basis as required
  • researches and trials innovative methods of service delivery and support
  • ensures services across New South Wales are available and accessible to Deaf people to reduce the isolation of Deaf Communities and individuals living in regional and remote areas

The Forsight Foundation for Deaf and Blind Adults
A service which provides a continuum of care with regard to accommodation, day programs and recreation for adults who are Deaf and Blind

Guide Dogs NSW/ACT
Provides Orientation and Mobility for children and adults, training in the use of canes, Guide Dogs and electronic aids, stroke related vision loss programs, Low Vision Clinic and community advocacy for safe and easy access

A booklet designed by Australian Hearing for parents and families of children newly diagnosed as deaf or hard of hearing - provided free of charge to parents/carers of children who have a hearing loss and available for purchase by other individuals/organisations
