The mission of the Deaf Society of NSW education department, Deaf Education Network, is to:

• provide community and vocational educational opportunities for  Deaf and hard of hearing people
• run training courses to enhance the language skills of people who wish to improve their Auslan communication skills or work within the Deaf Community
• increase the awareness of Deaf culture and language within the wider community
