If you support the aims and objectives of The Deaf Society of NSW and are interested in the Deaf Society's activities, events and news, you may like to apply for membership of the organisation.

We will send you:

  • updates throughout the year on Deaf Society activities,
  • appeals information, and
  • a copy of our bi-annual newsletter.

You will also have the opportunity to influence the direction of the organisation by voting for changes to the Constitution and in the election of Board of Directors.

Before you apply, you will need to read the Constitution of The Deaf Society of New South Wales. To see a copy of the constitution:

Steps to becoming a member:

  • You need to submit an application form and pay a membership fee of $10.00 (which needs to be paid when you apply).
  • The application will be given to the Board of Directors, who will decide whether or not to accept your application.
  • The Deaf Society will contact you to tell you if your membership application has been accepted.
  • If your application is refused by the Board, your membership fee of $10.00 will be refunded to you.
