The two handed Alphabet

The two-handed alphabet uses both two hands to make letters of the alphabet. This came from Britain and is widely used by the Deaf community in Australia. For deaf residents over the age of seventy, fingerspelling is one of the main ways they communicate.

It can be hard when you are first learning to do two handed fingerspelling, and to read it.

Here’s a hint for you - the left hand is the paper and the right hand is the pen that writes on the paper. If you are left-handed, you use your right hand as the paper.

So if you can remember this, and just relax, with practice, you’ll do well!
