The one handed Alphabet (Irish Sign Language, ISL)
Irish fingerspelling (Irish Sign Language, ISL) was used widely in Catholic schools for deaf boys and girls in Australia.
Those are rarely used now, but still used by some deaf residents over seventy.
The Irish use only one hand to fingerspell.
